Rome
Theatre - The historic theatres, those being
the Argentina, the Valle and the Quirino are very
nice. They have classical plays by famous actors and
theatre companies. There are many other private theatres
often host young artists and offer stimulating and
quality works. The Teatro dell'Orologio is a smaller
theatre where the author is gets more attention than
the actual drama and the Teatro della Cometa and the
Teatro Flaiano offer vibrant exciting shows that most
tourists like to see.
The elegant and exquisite Teatro dell'Opera, in Romeis
the only theatre which offers a full season of shows.
In the summer, the opera is taken outdoors and performed
at the Terme di Caracalla or the
Piazza di Siena. This way you will know where you
will be viewing it according to the times that you
are travelling to the area. In the summer the city
of Rome also hosts a lot of cultural events, including
dance festivals of sorts and outdoor concerts and
shows.
In the bigger Theatres in Rome the
season lasts from October through May and some of
them offer summer shows also.
A season of symphony can be enjoyed at The Accademia
di Santa Cecilia. At the Accademia di Santa
Cecilia has classical dance shows and ethnic
music concerts. There are also music concerts at the
Gonfalone as well. The Associazione Il Tempietto has
classical music concerts throughout the year.
As you can see there is plenty of Theatres
in Rome Italy to keep you highly entertained.
