Rome
Culture - The time you spend in Rome will
be filled with numerous cultural experiences. There
are museums for everything from art, sculptures, music,
history, literature and much more. There are theatres
for the opera, symphony, musical shows, comedies and
dances. There are many different institutions for
higher education and various public libraries in the
area.
There are excellent cinemas and Theatres
in Rome. Numerous restaurants with ethnic
and traditional dishes and there is an abundance of
discos, pubs, beer gardens (most of them are either
English, Scottish or Irish pubs or inspired by them),
laid back bars and late night restaurants. There is
an abundance of beers and wines. In these establishments
they offer so many different kinds from all over the
world. Many of these clubs offer live music with the
majority being Italian, American, English and African
and South American groups
With all this there is still more, there are art
galleries, numerous ethnic interests in the area and
various festivals and parades. For every interest
that you may have Rome has something or somewhere
to learn more about it.
During the summer Rome offers a
number of cultural events, including lively theatre
and dance festivals that add to the age-old beauty
of the city. The natives and tourists alike participate
in the activities that the city has. There is singing,
dancing and festivities for the children.
From July to September, many outdoor cinemas are
set up showing themed programs and all the winter
box-office hits. The Cineporto, near the Olympic Stadium,
is undoubtedly the most famous, and Massenzio, is
also notable, which screens three films every evening,
with a common theme, be it genre, author, subject
or country of origin.
When in Rome, the cultural aspects
will be ever so present and you will be sure to enjoy
them thoroughly.
